Ocean Farm Services signed new ownership of a 650m3 Wellboat from a Norwegian Wellboat on the 7th of January.
Ocean Farm Services have renamed her the 'Ocean Aquila’, and re-registered her under the UK Ensign Flag.
The ‘Ocean Aquila’ is a sistership to Ocean Farm Services existing Wellboat ‘Settler’.
‘Ocean Aquila’ is a substantial investment for OFS, also a major addition to our growing fleet, which in return will create more local jobs for Shetland, also strengthening OFS as an up and coming company within the ever growing Scottish aquaculture industry, by doubling our fish transport capacity.
We look forward to offering the ‘Ocean Aquila’ to all spot market work to all Scottish Salmon Farm companies, covering a wide range of Wellboat services such as, Live Fish Transport, Live Harvest RSW Closed Transport, Smolt Transport, Splitting over fish for Treatments, Grading and Counting Fish.
